Who can play?
Anybody aged 8-80 may join Headstone Manor Ladies Team

Aims
Our aim is to encourage players of all ages and abilities to join us so that we can develop the club both in terms of competitive cricket and on a more relaxed social basis.
The philosophy of the club is that we should play to win but winning is not everything and that most importantly “Cricket is Fun!”

Ladies Cricket
In 2005 a Ladies team was entered in the Southern League third division and the National Cup Competition. 2009 will be our fifth consecutive year in this league We also play many friendly games and also have taken part in the Ladies North London Friendly League. Ladies fixtures range from 20-40 over games and are normally played on a Sunday afternoon.

Junior Girls Cricket
Headstone Manor run a successful colts section and have a good stream of girls attending coaching and match playing. Colt teams play in a wide range of different league and cup competitions

What will it cost?
Yearly subscriptions: £35.00
Net Practice: £5.00 per session - discounts available on advance payments.
Match Fees: £5

What will I need?
To play in a match you will need cricket whites, (shirt, trousers and jumper).The club has its own personalised cricket shirts and caps available at a heavily discounted price.
As we play with a hard ball, all under 18s are required to wear a helmet when batting or wicket keeping but these can also be provided by the club.

Practice
From September to April we have indoor net training. We have several qualified Level 1 and level 2 coaches on hand.
Outdoor training takes place from April through to early September at The Old Lyonians ground.

Accreditations
We are now Club Mark and Focus Club accredited, an accreditation that gives us enormous pride and confirms our status as a model Club. The Clubmark Standard is awarded in recognition of standards in: duty of care and child welfare, coaching and competition, sports equity and ethics, club management and development. The standards are also set to ensure the promotion and implementation of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) ‘Welfare of Young People in Cricket’ Policy – named ‘Safe Hands’ at Club level, and that the wide range of activities carried out by the Club are undertaken in a safe manner and without risk to those involved.

Headstone Manor – Constitution
Headstone Manor Ladies Cricket Club has its own Insurance Cover for Limited Liability. All qualified ECB coaches have Insurance cover via the ECB and are committed to their “Safe Hands” Policy.

Headstone Manor - Code of Conduct
We feel there is a need to emphasis to players, managers and spectators alike to uphold the traditions of good behaviour and sportsmanship in our cricket

The following is a brief guide to the good behaviour we expect:

During the match
Headstone Manor has a reputation as a friendly, well-mannered and welcoming club, which we would like to continue, so players and supporters are asked to treat opposition, officials and teammates with courtesy and respect.

Etiquette
Clap new batters onto the field. When fielding, the captain should be the first person on and off the field.
Clap the opposition off the field.
Thank the umpires and scorers after the game.
Never show dissent, and accept the umpire’s decisions with good grace.

All players should arrive at a match in good time for a team briefing, to prepare themselves and carry out warm-up exercises.
